Programme
The Open-source Scientific Computing in Structural Dynamics Conference and Summer School will be held from 28 June to 1 July 2027 at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, University of Ljubljana.
OpenSD exists to promote and accelerate open-source-based research in structural dynamics. Single-track presentations of open-source work fill the first two days. The summer school on Wednesday and Thursday focuses on the Python ecosystem, while other languages, Matlab among them, are welcome for the conference presentations.

Summer school
The summer school accepts up to 15 attendees per track, on a first-come, first-served basis.

Target audience
PhD and MSc students working in structural dynamics. Attendees have the option to obtain 3 ECTS.
What to expect
At the conference, you can expect to learn about recent efforts in the development of open-source packages for scientific research in structural dynamics.
At the summer school, we will help you understand how the open-source community operates and how to write open-source code so that other researchers can use it. Summer school attendees receive the full source code of the courses.
Prior knowledge
The summer school is based on the Python programming language. Basic knowledge of Python is assumed, but Matlab users should be able to catch up quickly.
